With TV content these days being produced in digital format, the move to digital television (i.e., digital TV) from the decades-old analog TV standard makes sense. For end users, it allows for sharper images (e.g., HD formats up to 1,920 x 1,080 pixels) and wide screen formats (e.g., 16:9), compared to the 720 x 576-pixel resolution and 4:3 aspect ratio limits that analog TV has. It is becoming more obvious that existing Analog CATV systems are outdated and will have to be replaced to take advantage of the latest advances in Digital Television Technology. Customers expect to see crystal clear HD TV channels in modern Hotels and Apartment blocks. If you decide to upgrade your Analog TV system to a Digital system and select us as the supplier we will endeavour to keep interruption to the existing service to a minimum and the Analog system will stay in operation until the new Digital service is fully operational. The installation of the upgrade will normally require a full check of all cables leading from the headend to the various distribution points. Any defective cable or Taps will be replaced as part of this process with signal measurement carried out throughout the network. This should lead to fewer breakdowns in the future due to Cable and Tap problems. We expect that the Installation and Testing of the system upgrade to Digital can take several days depending on the condition of of the existing system.
